• 8 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup fat-free milk
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 3 teaspoons parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • Dice potatoes into equal sized pieces, about 1 inch cubes
  • Put potatoes in a large pot and add enough water to cover potatoes
  • ring water to a boil
  • After bringing water to a boil, adjust heat to keep at a simmer for about 20 minutes or until easily pierced by a fork
  • Strain and smash potatoes with a fork or potato masher
  • Add fat-free milk and mash again
  • Add spices to potato mixture and mash/stir until spices are blended evenly throughout
